About Our Pastor
Pastor Lloyd V. Anderson was born in Greenwood, Mississippi, and was raised in
Memphis, Tennessee. Lloyd and his wife of 29 years, Danette, currently live in
Southaven, Mississippi. Lloyd graduated from Hamilton High School and has a Bachelor
of Arts in Biblical Studies from Belhaven University. He also studied Architectural
Engineering at the University Of Memphis, Biblical Studies at Crichton College, and
Essentials of Preaching at Olford Ministries.
Pastor Anderson accepted his calling into the ministry in August of 1999, leaving behind a flourishing career in secular music, to obey the voice of God. Licensed and ordained at New Zion MB Church under the leadership of Pastor Larry Eddins, he served as an Associate Minister with multiple responsibilities for 8 years. Having a Pastor’s heart, God placed him at Massey Grove MB Church located in Oakland, Mississippi, where he served as Senior Pastor for 10 years. Being mindful of the urgency of preaching, the necessity of teaching, and the power they both prevail, Pastor Anderson truly believes in standing on The Word and leading as instructed by God. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16 KJV)
Pastor Anderson has a genuine love for Jesus Christ and humbly aspires to foster a spirit filled
atmosphere that inspires, motivates, and promotes spiritual growth. The word says God gives pastors after his own heart. And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. (Jeremiah 3:15 KJV)
